Michele Westphal, MS, CRC, LMHC, RYT-200

Yoga has been an incredible journey for me, and along the way I have been blessed with many wonderful teachers and mentors. I started practicing yoga in high school, initially coming to the mat for physical health and weight loss. Throughout the years, my yoga practice has changed and evolved. It is this journey that eventually led me to Infinite Light Yoga. I began seeking a practice that integrated body, mind, and spirit, a path of enlightenment and all of the wisdom that yoga has to offer. I also wanted to find a way to integrate my passion for yoga with my work as a counselor and behavior specialist, allowing all individuals to benefit from the gift of yoga and mindful living. It is through this process that my love and dedication to the yogic practice increased and my desire to share this passion with others developed. I completed my 200-hour level Infinite Light Yoga Teacher training in August 2011.

I live in the Syracuse area with my husband and daughter. I bring a background of service modalities to my yoga teaching. I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, a NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Infinite Light Yoga Teacher.

My practice and style of yoga comes from a variety of asana trainings that I have had over the years including Infinite Light, Kripalu, Dharma, and Vinyasa. I teach yoga with a loving heart emphasizing mindfulness, focus on the breath and prana moving through the body. I hope to inspire you to love yourself for who you are. My classes range from vinyasa flows to restorative and gentle classes. My inspirations come from the wonderful teachers with whom I have studied and from the students I teach. I look forward to the opportunity to share in your yogic practice, path and growth.

I am also an assistant instructor in the ILY 200-Hr. Yoga Teacher Training programs.

Aum Shanti, Michele
